The Establishment
  • 1979 The Establishment

Established since 1979 and a registered charity, TREATS was first set up for the welfare of underprivileged children, youth and families by providing them with recreation opportunities so to enjoy the same right and happiness as everybody does.

1980's & Early Days
  • Early Days

In the early days, TREATS operated as a trustee by sponsoring and organising volunteers to implement various activities for the needy children and youth.

  • 1985 The First Activity for Vietnamese Refugee Children

TREATS was among the few charities that were able to bring Vietnamese refugee children for outings. In 1985, we held the first carnival for the Vietnamese children within the closed camp. With the gradual closure of the Vietnamese detention centres, we ended our 19 years of service for these children, leaving them with happy memories.
