Integration is about everyone. An integrated society builds on recognition and participation of every member in the community.

Since 2006, we commissioned the Center for Child Development of the Hong Kong Baptist University to conduct 2 studies: “Integration in Hong Kong” and “Impact and effect of integration experience on young generation of Hong Kong” to investigate the views of the public on the subject of integration and to review the impact of integration programmes on children respectively.

Research on Impact and Effects of Integration Experiences on the Young Generation of Hong Kong reveals that First-Hand experience, Early contact and Real-life contact are the 3 critical success factors on effective integration as it brings attitude and behaviour change and help eliminating prejudice and discrimination among children and young people. Tailor-made education curriculum on integration should be started from young age and each child should be provided opportunities to learn and participate in different types of integration programmes. We advocate that integration education and programme should be fully introduced to schools and incorporated into the curriculum.

Besides, we actively advocate children rights through different media channels such as radio and newspaper.
